Moley ratings are out of 5, incomings & outgoings.
Thomas Lemar
The battle to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco seems to be hotting up. As reports start to finally get leaked. Markets have once again been suspended. Arsenal remain hopeful they can get a deal done, despite seeing three bids for Lemar rejected already according to reports.
According to the Mirror, Monaco are holding out for £50m, which Wenger is ready to up is offer to.
Moley rating – 4.9
Jadon Sancho
Basically his agent is shopping around at a few clubs. The kid wants to be included in the first team at some stage this season. Jordon thought he may get his chance at City however after been left out of tour and watching new signings coming in. He knows this will not happen. We got told he will be at Arsenal however Tottenham have come in late.
Moley Rating – 3.8
Danny Welbeck – Outgoing
Everton are set to bid £30m for the England international. The Toffees were linked with Olivier Giroud, but will apparently turn their attentions to Welbeck. We know Perez will leave, what will happen to Welbeck if he stays with Giroud & Lacazette. Lacazette will start so it’s only right to clear the path and sell Welbeck.
Take the money and run.
Moley rating – 2.8
Lucas Perez – Outgoing
Lucas Perez’s agent has denied reports that he has been offered to Roma.
Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle told Romanews WebRadio: “I am friends with Monchi [Roma sporting director] and can assure you he is not seeking a player like him. I don’t know why Perez’s name appeared in the papers linked with Roma.”
I’d like to continue watching him in the premier league. I feel Newcastle United would be a perfect fit for him. The Newcastle boss is desperate to land a striker before they return to the Premier League at home to Spurs next weekend.
Moley rating – Newcastle United – 4.1
Alexis Sanchez – Outgoing
Alexis Sanchez wants to steer Arsenal to 85 points and put them in the title race, according to Arsene Wenger. There is no doubt in my mind and from what we are been told Sanchez will stay.
Moley rating – 0
Sanchez is staying
Calum Chambers – Outgoing
We were told that Chambers would be staying, however it looks like Crystal Palace have been negotiating to sign the player. If the price is right he may make the move. Palace had discussed loan and permanent deal options but their initial offer, believed to be worth around £16m including add-ons and potential percentage of sell-on fees, fell well under Arsenal’s £25m valuation. This could happen but Crystal Palace will have to up the bid.
