Welcome to my first transfer ratings article for the window. We often read about players linked to Arsenal and if you follow these reports closely. By the end of the window Arsenal have signed enough players to field five teams. Usually most of these reports have some kind of truth in them but some are also be a pipe dream. In this article i will rate these rumours on the players we are linked with.
Kieran Tierney - I have very reliable inside knowledge (not form the club) that Kieran will be wearing an Arsenal shirt next season. 9/10.
William Saliba - We know the player is happy to move however Saint-Etienne are playing hard ball. Arsenal thought we would get him for cheap. Negotiations are still ongoing with Saint-Etienne. 6/10
Joachim Andersen - What we know, the player wants to move however Lyon have already €18m bid rejected earlier in the week. Arsenal would have to offer more than Lyon. The player has not yet handed in a transfer request. Reports are all coming out from his agent. We have to watch and see how this plays out negotiations ongoing. 5/10
Denis Praet - This has slowed down in the media due to the fee. Arsenal have submitted bids to Sampdoria hoping to get both Anderson & Praet to Arsenal. Sampdoria are holding out for improved bids. The reason we have been looking at players from Sampdoria is to accommodate Lucas Torreira who has been home sick at Arsenal. 5/10
Hakim Ziyech - What we know, "Hakim leaves when a good club presents itself," Overmars told De Telegraaf. "That happens, I think, because he is much more in the spotlight because of his great game in the Champions League than last year.
"Very large clubs are hanging around him".
"By the way, we promised Hakim a nice transfer on his arrival."
Is Arsenal that good club ? yes of course it is. Last year Roma baulked at going in for Hakim due to what Ajax were asking £40m. Roma may decide to go in for him again this summer which could trigger a bidding war. Something Arsenal will not want to get involved in. Arsenal have put in a cheeky bid of £25m. This bid will not be accepted it was just to test the waters. Looking to see what happens late in the window. to early to call so i have to rate it 3/10 at this stage.
