Norwich City v Arsenal Preview

It's the dawn of (another) new beginning at Arsenal Football Club as Unai Emery's stint in charge is over and we begin the Freddie Ljungberg reign. However temporary this next phase is, it's vital that the players regain confidence and fight for the shirt. Ljungberg's first game comes quickly as he takes his side east to visit Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon.

Having already beaten Champions Manchester City at home this season, Norwich will be confident, even more so knowing Arsenal's poor form. However, there's nothing more dangerous than a wounded animal (or so they say...) so it couldn't be a better time for a fresh start, new ideas and a renewed approach.

For his first taste of senior football management, Ljungberg will be without Dani Ceballos as he continues to target a mid-December return. Sead Kolasinac is available again after his own hamstring issue whilst there are last minute assessments on doubts to Hector Bellerin, David Luiz and Skhodran Mustafi. Reiss Nelson is yet to play after returning to full fitness whilst Ainsley Maitland-Niles who missed out on Thursday night's squad was seen today in full training.

The Canaries are boosted by the declaration of fitness of attacking midfield man Todd Cantwell whilst Onel Hernandez looked incredibly lively last time out. Full back Jamal Lewis returned to training from long term injury this week but is unlikely to feature Sunday whilst fellow defender
Grant Hanley remains out. Experienced midfielder Alex Tettey misses out due to personal reasons and his presence could be missed.

Freddie has plenty of options at his disposal and to be honest, most fans will just settle for three points but the bigger ambition for the legendary Swede is to surely reinvigorate the players. He is rumoured to have addressed the players for a quick huddle post Emery's departure this morning and told his players to turn it around and play for the shirt. That is the minimum requirement for anyone that puts on the red and white of Arsenal. He knows what it takes and can liven up the squad and get them going again. He'll likely opt for Arsenal's better players to lead the line and make it happen. Experienced players need to stand up and that starts now.

Expected lineup:

GK: Bernd Leno
RB: Ainsley Maitland-Niles
CB: Sokratis
CB: Rob Holding
LB: Kieran Tierney
CM: Lucas Torreira
CM: Matteo Guendouzi
CAM: Mesut Ozil
RW: Nicolas Pepe
ST: Alex Lacazette
LW: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Prediction: 3-1 win for Ljungberg's Arsenal.
